Quillow ("we", "us", "our") operates quillow.uk. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information.

What we collect

When you create an account we collect your name, email address and a securely hashed version of your password. If you subscribe we collect payment information through Stripe — we never see or store your card details directly. We also collect data about your reading activity such as which books you have read, your reading progress and your XP and streak counts.

How we use your information

Email communications

We send transactional emails including welcome emails, password resets, subscription confirmations and trial ending reminders. We do not sell your email address or send unsolicited marketing emails.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID so we can manage your subscription. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.

Data storage

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Railway. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and data by emailing [email protected].

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are based in the UK or EU you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights please contact [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

Quillow is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
